I met Jaco Van Zyl a few months ago at a Free Speech Union event in which he gave an impassioned comment about the dire plight of the white South African farmers. Turned out, he had insight to offer not just about the slow collapse of his native country, but also about wokeness in the west which bares many similarities to the race-based Marxism that brought South Africa to its knees. We also talk at length about what he calls the ailment of our era, narcissism, and its connection to woke ideology.

Note: around the 38 minute mark, Jaco talks about statistics on the murder of farmers in South Africa and extrapolated an equivalent number for the US population. He then texted me with a correction — the equivalent number for the US would work out to almost half a million American farmers being murdered, not 5 million as he says in the video.
