Excellent talk, especially the connection between racial grievances and narcissism. Narcissists are opportunists who capitalize on making others responsible for their feelings — and “success” by being parasitic. Assigning moral superiority based on race is one of the sickest regressions of our time.

De-Narcissisation...so interesting. We must lose our focus of self and focus on God.

This conversation about narcissism was just so interesting. Thank you so much to you both. I agree that it is the scourge of our age. I also agree with you Jenny that the covert narcissists are the worst of the bunch.

I was so struck (because of your dialogue) and suddenly had both a deeper and simultaneously a more practical understanding of when Christ said:

"Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it."

Luke 17:33

I am a New Zealander, I am one of this amateur economists. Nz has been involved with SA since 1899, and especially during the apartheid era. We have a range of SA expats, now living in our community. The first echelon arrived here in the 1960's because they hated apartheid. So- today 2025- what do we do? I have links fo Fiji which has a burgeoning Fiji-Indian population for the same reason SA has... ...I really engaging talk here. Those of us in the healing sector- must find solutions, and this, generally does not come about through ideology...

Lovely conversation, Jenny. One of your best. 👌

I feel sorry for the guests on Meghan Markle's Netflix show. What a fiasco. 🤡🤦‍♂️

At least she didn't go the Gwyneth Paltrow route. Can you imagine?

"Each swag bag contains a 'With love, this smells like Meghan's Vajayjay' candle."

❤😬🤣🤣

An interesting discussion, particularly with regard to relating to a part of a person as if it was the whole. It's not always a woke know it all thinking that he knows everything about a person by glancing at skin color or gender or whatever. It can be, for example, a doctor (often young and inexperienced) who smugly lectures a patient about some potential medical issue but who gives every indication of being clueless about the fact that he is dealing with a real person.
