I shared this exact same content last Christmas. But two things push me to share it again: 1) I have a lot more subscribers this year than last year; and 2) this is actually the greatest Christmas story I’ve ever heard, so upon reflection I have decided I’m going to share it every year going forward. (For anyone wondering who the Santa-looking fella in the video is, I wrote about him here.)
I spent today making Christmas cookies and listening to a Spotify playlist I made a few years ago and also shared before, but I had such a good time listening to the music today that I’m sharing it again. I’m all about tooting my own horn, as you may have noticed. If it accompanies you as you cook your family’s Christmas dinner, as it accompanied me today making the cookies, then so much the better. 🥰in
I love Christmas, for reasons that were in the past entirely sensual (toys! twinkling lights! cheese! sparkling wine! candles!) — but now now are increasingly spiritual.
