Muscular Englishman Charles Cornish-Dale sends leftie snitches into a tizzy. For that alone we should give him a medal, but it turns out he's an excellent conversationalist as well.
In the early '80s, a pen-pal from Reading, England visited my wife and me in southern California for a few days. On a drive through Los Angeles I pointed to an art deco building and said "that's the city hall. It was built in 1925." He replied "our city hall is five hundred years old."
You got that right about men's role. It's built into the species. Men are expendable but women (and children) are not. Hence men are sent off to work and war; women aren't. We're a female species (just 9 angstroms of DNA come from the man) so the children are ... "femalist"? At any rate, if the species is to survive you can't kill off women.
I enjoyed your story about your then eight-year-old son. If you have ever watched groups of boys and groups of girls, it is obvious even at very young ages that there is a distinct difference. Also, I too would like to hear about your interviewee's research on the Reformation which is a fascinating period of history.
Great conversation! Thanks! The two of you have good chemistry, so I hope you have him back sometime to talk about medieval history, or whatever. Have a nice weekend!
Great conversation. I do think you have more to discuss!

You noted this phenomenon: on the left, politics became the personality of the lefties.

Like of national patriotism in the USA too, among left/progressive. No sense of historical context. Our history is portrayed as evil .
Wow does he literally down a glass of raw egg in those opening minutes?
Gad! I wasn't really paying attention to what was in the glass. I thought it was orange juice.
It looks a little ... thick.
