"There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God...always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth." Isn’t it wild? It’s like some force has programmed society to destroy itself and in the last few years things have been unleashed. Historically though, the same things are repeating….. Ancient Rome in the times of Justinian were very similar to what we’re experiencing and ultimately that civilization was met with plague.

There’s really no stopping the pain now, the West will continue to shovel money into the pit of corruption that is Ukraine while their citizens suffer in the name of “freedom”, which will ultimately become the freedom to do what the law states, not necessarily freedom of conscience.

Meanwhile the Covid wave is getting ready to crash and soon we might understand the true damage unleashed by the mRNA experiments. If the blood diagnostics from Italian doctors is a clue, pretty much the immune systems of most people who’ve taken the jab are ruined and the excessive blood clots being found by coroners is another sign. All cause mortality is up 15%, not to mention the mental health toll. Yikes!

Also, much like Nazi Germany the state apparatus in the US has been turned against the “domestic terrorists”. And with the current state of education in the US, there’s not much chance of rebuilding until a full collapse happens. But better to see what’s happening then try to dissociate and wishfully think we will go back to normal.

It's so wild! I have seen these "excess mortality" numbers in my own life, which is one of the things I was obliquely referring to above. I just don't see how this resolves without major upheaval. I'm putting it mildly.

Expand full comment

Well that’s been the plan for roughly a few centuries at least, major upheaval followed by the one world government. It’s an interesting thing to trace honestly, maybe start at Weishaupt and his papers, then the French Revolution, Communism, World Wars and you can see how they laid the groundwork.

But ultimately they’re looking to impose their Darwinian, atheist, materialistic psychosis upon all people of conscience.

There’s very few cracks in their control grid, but one of them is understanding psychopathology and how those types can ruin a society. The book Political Ponerology is great insight, or the stuff by Robert Hare. It’s really the only chance for humanity, normal people of conscience connecting.

I’m reading the book Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties now and if you have a glimpse into psychopathy, people like the LA DA who prosecuted Manson or a guy like Polanski can be seen in a different light, not to mention the twisted psychology of anyone who would participate in MK Ultra.

But yes, this winter will most likely end Western Society as we know it, the EU first followed by the US and that’s if things sort of continue to degrade. What happens if 50% or more people die? We simply can’t keep our infrastructure going and we might see a complete collapse of systems like medicine since everyone there is jabbed.

This article is why the classics should not be neglected in education! I also remember chuckling slyly at The Rape of the Lock, while thinking no one today could be so silly and frivolous. I was as confident as a 15 year old could be...

Agreed, if done in the correct light. How many people know that Plato was a pederast, and if he was so off in that arena, perhaps we should take a closer look at his other ideas.

So were most royals and religious leaders until modern times. Many ancient royals wed only siblings or cousins to keep power as concentrated as possible. Many practices in the ancient world (such as marriage at age 12) would be viewed askance today, but were commonplace in their time. Judging historical figures and works of art by todays social norms is futile. Acknowledge custom and mores vary over time and between cultures. Thoughtful people are capable of making these distinctions.

Jenny, I can totally relate to what you're saying. I feel like the world has gone bonkers! Earlier, I was reading Andrew Sullivan's weekly dish/substack, and he discussed a story in Canada, of a teacher who goes to high school wearing a huge pair of fake boobs (each one bigger than his/her head) and how no one is allowed to criticise this. Check it out, it's truly beyond belief. I've always been liberal, had gay friends etc and seriously, I have no problem with transgenger people. But this was a high school! There's a pic, with this teacher facing some teen boys, and her plastic boobs, complete with protruding nipples, literally take up the whole room! It's madness. I've also been reading about what's going on back in the UK, with street fights between Muslims and Hindus. It really makes me sad to see how England has descended into such an atomised society, and has me questioning how well multiculturalism has worked out. I just feel that the world has changed so dramatically in the last few years that I can barely make sense of it all. I keep thinking of a line in a song by a band I used to love (MUSE) 'Our freedom's consuming itself' - and that's where I think we are.

*His* plastic boobs. 🤣🤣🤣 That's not a woman. That's a man who is a slave to his sexual fetish, which is fantasising that he is a woman.

You should see the videos of the Canadians teacher. If it were a giant penis it would never be allowed. But giant fake boobs that are clearly fetish? Oh, the school is just fine with that. The bigger question is why the heck are parents allowing their kids to stay in that class?

Scroll down for the picture. If you haven’t seen it you’ll be ever more outraged.

Yes this is the one I was referring to! I watched the video you linked, thanks. I keep thinking this must be some kind of prank. It would be a different matter if she were simply trans, or identified as a woman and dressed in normal female clothing. But the fake boobs are a very overt sexual marker. In many schools, there's a dress code, and revealing clothing (low cut tops etc) are often discouraged or forbidden. So, how come this is allowed to happen? Yes, I agree, NCmom, if a woman were to turn up with a giant penis starpped on, she'd no doubt be barred from entering the school.

I think it goes to show how demonstrably misogynistic the gender ideology movement is. The most vulnerable females in society - girls, female prisoners, women seeking refuge in domestic violence shelters - being sexually assaulted and raped regularly should take a back seat to the feelings of men and their fettishes per the gender activists (and Democrats and the media and the teacher’s unions). It’s really sad. It was also entirely predictable.

It’s sad Biden wants to demand 18 year old girls have their lives destroyed if they don’t want to room with a man who thinks he’s a “woman” in a college dorm. It’s sad Biden’s new school guidance tells middle school girls they need to sit out of society or accept male chaperones who “identify” differently in their private spaces. (using the bathroom, the gym locker room, and on overnight field trips).

The Democrats and activists are great at semantics gymnastics, but I’m realizing more and more they are terrible at actually leading and indifferent to the predictable harms their policies cause. It’s become crystal clear over the last 2.5 years that when they owe an apology, they’ll instead blame the harm from the policies they demanded on those who factually opposed their harmful policies in the first place. I mean calling parents understandably upset about school closures or the sexualization of their very young children “domestic terrorists”? It’s insane.

I was definitely indoctrinated in undergrad and grad to blindly follow the left and Democrats and “social justice” activists. Observing the outcomes of the last 2.5 years has put the final blow fully ending my youthful indoctrination. Now I’m eyes wide open, actually awake, and ashamed of what I see in our culture and the people I once supported.

Although I'm originally from the UK, I now live in Hungary. This madness is not happening here, at least not yet. Our PM is the bogeyman of Europe, the EU cannot understand why he is resisting the pressure to get with the programme and become more liberal! A few years ago, I was also against this government (believing all the hype and vitriol levelled against it) But now, I feel thankful my kids don't have to deal with this insanity at school, uni etc. The Hungarian government see what's happening in the west, and want to avoid it. I'm not saying that this government is without issues, but I thank my lucky stars I live here, every time I read an article like this.

I’ve read a lot about Hungary (both sides). I’d love to hear more about your experience there (it’s one of the places we jokingly talk about fleeing to, but know almost nothing about it). How has life for your family compared to the UK the last 2 years? How bad is the energy crisis? Is it as beautiful as they say?

If your children have normalcy and stability I think it will serve them extraordinarily well...... especially considering how damaged their generation will be so many places globally (the US, China, Vietnam, Western Europe, Australia, NZ, the list goes on). The world is going to need sane young adults in 10-20 years even more than today.

We moved our children to a private conservative Christian school a few years ago (from a woke Catholic school). We actually chose it because academically (as well as athletics and fine arts) it’s one of the top schools in the US southeast. Schools of all types have gone down the tubes here. Country club friends were complaining at tennis this week that not one of their 4 children between them in the “academically gifted” program at the best local public elementary school in our large district tested at grade level for reading (all were below, 3rd and 5th grade). 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ there is a reason the school they are at has an enormous waitlist even though it’s the largest private school in our urban area.

The conservative school has opened our eyes and I’ve grown to appreciate the effectiveness of more conservative values that don’t head down the path of judging and hate (which this school doesn’t, it’s the most loving place I’ve ever seen and with over 1,200 kids it does have openly gay kids that are loved and embraced like all the rest of the kids). The kids at our conservative school are protected from Covid insanity, racial insanity, gender ideology. But my kids still play club sports and have activities with other friends not at their school. The difference in mental health, general anxiety level, intelligence, motivation, and knowledge is incredibly striking (to the point other parents comment often, I keep my mouth shut). It makes me grateful we stumbled into the school for the sake of my own kids, but outright terrified for their generation and the society they will live in as adults.

That's really interesting. It's interesting how conservative values seem to be more embracing, less dogmatic and judgemental than so-called liberal ones (I can hear my 20 something leftie/liberal screaming at this comment!!) I really found myself in Hungary. When I first arrived here (in the nineties) I found Hungary way too traditional/conservative. But it has progressed and is now as modern as any other European country. Despite its reputation, most people I know here are pretty liberal. But sensible! At the same time, I've softened. I've started to actually see the benefit of tradition, family values, and the more conservative values that Hungary embodies. As opposed to the UK, which is seemingly more liberal, yet seems to have no sense of identity. It's as if me and Hungary met half way! My kids attend a Waldorf school, which is actually more liberal than an average Hungarian state school. Yet many Hungarians, regardless of political persuasion, were not on board with lockdown rules, vaccinations etc..(they are quite rebellious and suspicious of government rules, I think it's a remnant of their past!) I teach part time at a high school. Hungarian kids are very well-grounded and well-educated. But they haven't been as exposed to the culture wars/wokeism/identity politics as American kids have. Some months ago, I briefly discussed the story of the trans swimmer, Lea Thomas, being allowed to compete against biological women. They were genuinely shocked it was allowed to happen. Despite the students' age (18) they all felt it was unfair. Now these teens are all open-minded, liberal, fluent in English, very connected to the English speaking world (on social media, Netflix, etc) They just aren't as radical as kids in places such as the UK, the U.S, Canada etc. Education is highly prized in Hungary, yet teachers are overworked and underpaid. Schools simply don't have the energy (or resources) to fund things like gender-neutral bathrooms, and the Hungarian government probably wouldn't allow it, anyway. Yet, as in your children's school, there are also gay students here (my daughter has gay friends, one of whom is her best friend) and they can live their life freely, there are no laws forbidding it, and even recently there was the gay pride march in Budapest. But the government introduced a controversial law last year, which bans promoting homosexuality for under 18s (it was called an anti-LGBTQ law) but, in reality, homosexuality is legal in Hungary. Personally, I feel Hungary is a pretty open, safe society, yet it does value its christian culture, traditions and heritage etc...and this is partly where it gets into hot water with the EU. But I love living here. There's more social cohesion, safety and stronger values than the U.K and I feel my kids are way better off, socially and academically. And, yes it is beautiful and Hungarians are very welcoming and hospitable. In response to your question, yes, the energy crisis is affecting us (Hungary depends on Russian gas) Up until a certain amount, gas prices have been capped, but go above that amount and you pay 7 times more. Food has skyrocketed, it actually changes on a daily basis. It is worrying. But, quite honestly, given all the madness going on (what we've discussed) I feel we are in the best place and I would never consider returning to the U.K now.

I truly feel rage for these girls and young women being forced to share protected space with large persons with intact male genitalia. I would have been horrified as a 15 year old swimmer to have to change down to skin with what I could clearly see was a male in my locker room. I remember when Title 9 was needed for girls. Now it is being perverted to allow the exploitation of girls. The sexual assault of 2 high school girls in Louden County, VA, by a boy in a dress, and the rape and impregnation of female prisoners by anatomically intact males masquerading a female in order to enter a target rich environment, does not seem to be enough to convince Democrats that girls and women are worthy of consideration. Our current powers that be are sending a clear message - a female only matters if she really is male.

Expand full comment

I agree. The only thing I’d say is that I won’t give on the language any longer. They aren’t “large persons with in tact male genitalia.” They are MEN. Severing the language from objective truth is how we got to this place. Young women are being forced to share intimate spaces with men who are mocking them in womanface.

Thank you. Well said. I can't even imagine the horror I would have felt at 18 if my college had forced a man upon me as a roommate, no matter how many skirts he wore. This is really happening now! Only the discomfort of the man in drag matters, not the real girl. Given the rapes in Louden County committed by a boy wearing a dress in the girls' bathroom, and by male inmates permitted to infiltrate women's prisons because they have changed their hair and claim girlhood, it should be VERY clear that these masquerading males are a danger to actual females.

Whenever I see the video from Texas it’s the boy, likely less than a year into puberty, that strikes me and shocks me and saddens me and outright terrified me. My daughter is 11 - about his age. That child is still part boy, as he bounces up and down like a kid watching a magic show. But he’s also just starting to have hormones in his body. I hope I’m wrong, but that kids is most likely really screwed up and permanently. I wouldn’t let my daughter within a mile of him.

What we are doing to kids is outright sick. That society forgets we know what sexualizing kids does to them as adults is more disturbing. We know from thousands of years of human history sexualizing kids causes very very very bad outcomes for both the child and society. It’s not different this time (it never is). Why are parents and communities allowing this????

The kid in that particular video really looks autistic/special needs to me. And it's been well documented that the trans-ing kids nightmare is particularly harmful to neuro-divergent kids -- so much so it almost seems by design.

I find it genuinely hard to really comprehend the damage we are doing. Like, I can see it, but I almost can't really believe it -- it's so outlandish.

The fiendishness of the activists, the foolishness of the parents, the wilful blindness and lack of wisdom of this movement's defenders -- it all just really points to a need for some kind of a return to traditional values. The good news is it's really activating people, so it may be the straw that broke the camel's back.

I hadn’t thought of that on the boy, but you I see what you are saying, and yes, that makes it even worse if true. 😔

I think people are waking up, but I’m not sure how many. Hopefully a lot.

Some Democrat volunteer knock on my door yesterday and asked for me by name. She then said she was at my home to “remind” me to vote for Democrats this November, and hand me what appeared to be a very expensive looking packet and swag. I must be on their list from my younger dumber donations. I responded “Nooooo, I have children. I’m not voting for Democrats. I love my children. I actually like them too.”

She looked genuinely shocked, covered her face, then insisted that’s why I “should” be voting Democrat. I responded “um, no, gender ideology is outright cruel. I was a Tom boy. It’s mean. I could protect my kids during Covid because we can afford private school. The whole world knew by April 2020 kids and young people weren’t at risk. School closures and mask mandates and these ridiculous intersectional ideologies have destroyed millions of young lives. Then to call parents “domestic terrorists???” The worst part is this crap has most harmed the most vulnerable. Democrats have done all of it. I will not forget it was Democrats who did this, and I do not forgive Democrats. I’m not voting for Democrats. Have a nice day.”

I was nice, but firm. It was even more disturbing how genuinely shocked this lady was (and she was around 65ish). When I watched back on the security cameras, it was even more evident. I then watched where I could see her walk around the front of the house, and she was still shocked and shaking her head out of my sight.

Long way of saying it appears many haven’t woken up, and are shocked at those of us who have.

A pleasure to read, as usual (the pleasure including pain eloquently diagnosed).

The mention of Martha's Vineyard brought to mind a Netflix movie that could be made (with backroom negotiations involving Elite friends of both sides making it possible), starring Carly Simon herself and James Taylor himself, a "special day" where their years of estrangement are in one afternoon healed as they accidentally bump into each other at the "immigrant event" and thanks to those unfortunate peasants, by some miracle they renew their friendship (if not their romance). James even gets his guitar out of his truck and writes a song extemporaneously, "The Venezuelans", as they are escorted away by the US Military, Carly joining in with harmonies.

I can almost see the thought bubble over that MV woman's head, reading, "Oh, thank God they are gone!"

Not to be too practical for the head in the cloud residents of MV, but don't many of those multimillion dollar estates include housing for their servants? (Word used deliberately, as anyone who has ever worked in a wealthy household knows.) Aren't all the hotels vacant this time of year? Does no one there need a house cleaner? Landscaper? Cook, dishwasher, or stable man? Hard to believe, really.
