Wow Jenny, thank you so much for this sweet message. I’m getting ready to head out to a Christmas carol concert at Grace cathedral in San Francisco. On our drive over we will listen to your playlist. On the way home I’m going to pop into the store for some walnuts and then bake up a batch of the little acorns. Then... tomorrow evening I will serve them up to my friends who are coming over for Christmas Eve dinner.

Merry Christmas, Jenny! I am definitely going to try that recipe (you had me at 'easy to make'!) Thank you for creating this sanity-saving, life-affirming, thought-provoking space and community! Makes me feel less alone and less bonkers! I'd also like to wish a Merry Christmas to all of your lovely readers, as well. Look forward to meeting you all here in 2024!

Merry Christmas! Your cookies even look great in a photo. It says a lot about God that the first people told about the birth of the Savior at Christmas (by angels no less) were shepherds (very low in the social structure) and the first people to find the empty tomb on Easter were women (also of very low status at the time). Had the stories been made up, the biblical writers would undoubtedly have tried to come up with more impressive stories.
