Thank you for all you do and share and write and say, Jenny. This was a really interesting conversation. I think we are roughly the same age. I've never considered myself a lefty... I've always leaned more to the right. But in the last few years, it's felt especially difficult to have different views and beliefs than what it seems like *everyone* else has online. So I really appreciate your honest thoughts and sharing your views and saying the things it seems that so many people aren't willing to say.

Thank you Stacy! I know that feeling of isolation that comes from thinking you are alone in your opinions and everyone out there would hate you if they knew what you really thought. But we are not alone! We'll always have Substack! (Or at least I hope so!)

Such a great conversation, thank you for sharing this story! I can only hope many will listen.

Isn't she fantastic? I will be writing more about what she said after I have given myself enough time to mull it over some more.

I don't think that woman ever had a chance.

Well she has shown every ounce of human strength in ridding herself of the terrible ideology that she was vulnerable to as a child and young woman. She is the paradigm of just how much humans can overcome and flourish despite terrible things happening to them.

You are exactly right, must have been incredibly difficult to "change" everything she believed was true

Our culture is in rapid decline. The fact that, even a couple of decades ago, a third grader (in an upscale area, by the way, not that it would have been OK anywhere) had no trouble accessing pornography in a public library is beyond concerning. I suspect that those in charge thought that allowing young children to access pornography was some sort of virtue. As Scripture says, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil..." (Isaiah 5:20)

IT feels like the decline has sped up considerably in the last not even ten years.

Forty years ago I worked for a book binding business, driving to public libraries all over southern California to pick up their periodicals and take them back to the factory to be bound into yearly volumes for their collections. Several of those libraries subscribed to and kept "Playboy" magazine on their shelves. But not in the children's section, as far as I knew.

Yeah, and the thing they've been calling porn these last two decades ain't Playboy.

I wouldn't be surprised if today some woke types considered Playboy a wholesome children's magazine (for the articles, of course, even if the kids are not old enough to read).

The damage done by the rampant mental illness identity cult is almost inestimable. I think sometimes that other purges that straight up killed people may have been less cruel.

I know exactly what you mean. I know cruelty to children is a constant throughout history, but this is surely unprecedented in its fiendishness?

I found myself somewhat off-put by the implicit but massively assumed framework of feminist androphobia by which men are conceived to be evil barbarians ready to rape women at the drop of a helmet.

Leigh mentions exposure to pornographic anime in 3rd grade in 2001. Judith Reisman was (before her recent death) documenting this going on for DECADES -- no doubt reflecting a process advancing and getting worse as each decade passed to the next up to our present.

For example: Statutory "Obscenity Exemptions" Breed a School "Sexual Rights" Agenda And Child Sex Abuse Epidemic -- http://www.drjudithreisman.com/archives/2017/05/statutory_obsce.html

Her website (see the banner at the top) has many other articles on the broader nebula relevant to this.

Well I am very happy you gave this one a chance, as the woman I spoke with is most surely deserving of your attention.

It is very Mengele-like, that is a very good description. One of the most disconcerting parts of this whole thing is that it has given me the suspicion that a lot of doctors are actually secret sadists and pervs. I mean WHO ELSE would carve a hole next to a young man's rectum or cut off a teen girl's perfectly healthy breasts. WHO WOULD DO THAT?

If we eliminate an internationally coordinated conspiracy which operates via a systemic capture of major institutions of society, we become flabbergasted trying to explain how people could do whatever various batshit horrors our social-mediated iceberg-tip glimpses assault us with, and we may as a consequence try to figure out elaborate ways of explaining it that avoid the dreaded C word. Of course even if we grant a conspiracy, that doesn't let such docs and others involved off the hook, but there would be an added circumstances of social psychology -- bureaucratic group-think, a concerted system & project of propagandizing, trust in the Mainstream, and that fusion so magical for Leftists by which anything connected to "social justice" becomes gravely (almost fanatically) obligatory even if it involves such ostensibly horrendous things; etc.
