We are indeed living in times that none of us imagined back in the day. As Jesus Christ predicted in Scripture, "many false prophets will appear and deceive many people" but God wins in the end. Jesus told his followers, "Do not let your hearts be troubled."
Amused tolerance of others' views was a hallmark of your father's thinking. He would talk to Ministers and murderers with the same curiosity and equanimity. Although not religious himself, he was not offended by religious opinions. He loved being your dad.
A lovely letter. You make me wish I could talk to my long-gone parents again.
Thank you, as always, Cary!
This is wonderful. My dad died ten years ago, I wish I could talk to him about everything that has happened since then. Thank you for writing.
It's quite a thing to contemplate, what people who died before the craziness would make of us today!
