The IRA felt entitled to murder, because they thought their suffering was unique. It’s truly demoralising to see similar narratives of oppression has now invaded grant-funded culture
A few weeks ago, I did something I don’t often do, which is engage with my local cultural institutions. Belfast is a place I find to be palpably haunted by ghosts — historical and personal — I find that spending too much time immersed in the place can be somewhat detrimental to my mood.
