Keir Starmer wishes us women just shut the hell up about our cervixes, already
Men can have cervixes too!
The left doesn’t want anyone to say that only women have cervixes.
Four days ago, the leader of the UK’s opposition party said on television that the sentence “only women have a cervix” was “something that shouldn’t be said.”
I can’t say I’m surprised, exactly. It’s not surprise, because I’ve seen claims like this made over and over again by UK “progressives” for several years now.
It’s more shock — that someone in such a prominent position has made it. But in a way, Starmer (who, incidentally, was Director of Public Prosecutions when that office decided not to go after prolific rapist of young girls, Jimmy Saville) has done us all a favour. He has elevated this lunacy to one of the largest platforms available in the United Kingdom. So now we can all hear this blaring out across the land: YOU CANNOT SAY ONLY FEMALES HAVE FEMALE ORGANS. YOU CANNOT! DON’T EVEN DO IT! IT’S NOT RIGHT! IT HURTS MEN’S FEELINGS!

I don’t really feel the need to explain myself on this one, and if anyone subscribed to this newsletter feels differently they are probably in the wrong place.
The new gender paradigm seems to be that boys can be girls and girls can be boys — but it becomes clearer to me with each passing week that this gender-bending experimentation does not help children and adolescents achieve greater states of happiness and wellbeing. And anyone who thought it would has either been self-serving (for example: encouraging the busting open sexual taboos for personal gratification, children be damned, or be preyed upon); or shockingly naive. Which is the category I think many people right now fall into. They put up with the crazy because they are just trying to be nice.
Every human is born with innate common sense and a moral compass. Unfortunately, those two signal transmitters have been tampered with in two generations who were raised in our sick ideological climate. It’s much harder for them to see that encouraging young adolescents to sterilise themselves is a bad thing — essentially they have been groomed to view transgression as freedom. Those of us still receiving those ancient signals, though, can see it.
(Let us not forget that there is a history of UK progressives — specifically the Fabian Society — being in favour of sterilisation in the form of eugenics, as well as making working-class men wholly dependent on the welfare state so as to neutralise them. Read more here.)
I came across an interesting book this week, The Boy Crisis by Warren Farrell and John Gray. It’s a round-up of all the depressing facts pertaining to boy’s sliding wellbeing: higher suicide rates, drug abuse rates, lower college attainment and lower life purpose. And I’ve spent a few years watching this from afar, thinking that it really was a bad time to be a boy; and that girls, if anything, were being somehow cosseted as boys were being punished. Pop and mainstream culture has been pushing girl power so hard now, for so long, I glibly thought that girls didn’t have as much to worry about.
Well, I certainly don’t think that now.
While I still can see the myriad ways in which boys are being harmed across the wealthy, English-speaking west by new family and social mores, I am growing increasingly alarmed at what I’m seeing and hearing about the mental health of girls.
I mean, imagine being a 15 year old girl who is not allowed to state that only females have a cervix? Imagine being a 25 year old woman having her first baby who is scolded by some NHS employee for saying “breastfeeding” instead of “chestfeeding” because it might make a natal male feel…excluded?
Of course, there are many, many young women and girls avidly embracing this Orwellian, dystopian indulging of extremely niche male fantasy. But they are doing so at great cost to their psyches. I was told recently by someone I know living in the US, of several family friends where girls went off to college only to come back within months, depressed and/or mutilated. I’ve seen example after example, on TikTok and Twitter and Instagram, of obviously disturbed girls and young women posturing about politics or the patriarchy when actually what they are struggling with is emotional derangement.
How much of this derangement can be laid at the feet of the lies we have taught kids about sex and gender is a matter of debate. But I’m going to guess it’s a big part of it.
Oh wow! I had totally forgotten about the scene in Life of Brian . . . the is sooo much wisdom in finely-crafted comedy. How relevant that clip is to today!!! Thank you for spotlighting this latest example of the lunacy, and for picking such an excellent example to make it resonant to hopefully all those who have been slower to acknowledge the problems with all this language policing.
We now live in a morality denying, reality denying, science denying world, brought about primarily, I have to say, by the left. It seems to be hopeless--society on the whole will never return to reason. I feel sorry for young people who will have to endure another forty, fifty, sixty years of this lunacy as it grows worse and worse. But they've been raised this way, so they probably won't even know the difference. Tragedy upon tragedy.
