Good riddance Joe Biden
And to hell with the pseudo-intellectual gas bags who propped him up
Editor’s note: swear words contained herein.
Five years ago was when I first heard the allegations about Hunter Biden’s business deals in China and Ukraine. Flying on Air Force 2 to set up a Chinese private equity fund and meet with a Chinese banker. Getting paid handsomely for sitting on the board of a gas company in Ukraine.
And that was the end of my liberal era. Not sure I was ever a great liberal to start with, but lord did I turn on them when I found out about Hunter Biden. I went from being a person who had never voted for a Republican, to being a person who would never vote for a Democrat again.
Bear in mind, in 2014, I gave a speechwriting workshop holding Joe Biden up as an example of a great communicator. I thought — genuinely, for real — that he seemed like a decent man.
But my shock and anger in 2020 at the obvious, blatant, in-your-face corruption of Hunter and Joe pushed me so over the edge that everything the liberal smart set ever said about Donald Trump suddenly seemed extremely sus.
Since this weekend marks the blessed end of Biden zombie presidency — something I feared would mark the end of the American republic — let’s look at the lowlights of the worst president of my lifetime.
The Hunter Biden laptop and cover-up
First up: the Hunter Biden laptop and the massive cover-up: an election interference conspiracy involving Big Tech, the intelligence community, the corporate media, and the Democratic Party. It was clear to me then, but even clearer to me now, that this was the biggest scandal in the history of American politics, with profound implications for democracy. But at the time, other than the MAGA people who were at that point still being slandered with terms like racist and far-right, it was greeted with a collective shrug.
NPR, once my go-to radio station, actually published this Editor’s Note. And it was not a prank.
Sweet mother of God.
First State of the Union
Leading directly on from that — the 2022 State of the Union address, which was a failure of such spectacular magnitude I couldn’t quite believe that the press was so shocked at Biden’s pitiful presidential debate performance two years later. Honestly, guys, he was like this all along. And I quote:
“And a pound of Ukrainian people, a proud, proud people. Pound for pound, ready to fight with every inch of earnergy [sic] they have.”
And of course the crowing glory of all gaffes:
“We’ll continue vaccinating the world. We won’t stop because you can’t build a wall high enough to keep out a vaccine.”
Ah, yes, the vaccine. Remember that?
Now is the winter of our discontent — but only if you’re unvaccinated
Not only did Biden give us the ‘unvaccinated will have a winter of sickness and death’ speech — side note: I’m alive and well, ya decrepit old bastard — he also gave us Rochelle Walensky, she of the ‘impending doom.’
And I quote, from my essay way back in the fourth month of this Substack:
Apparently, Dr Walensky here was hired not just for her SCIENCE® (Peace be Upon It) but also because of her middle-school drama club skills. Watch this video in which she — a serious medical professional — starts to cry and warns us ungrateful peasants of our “impending doom.” Even more hilariously, she promises to go “off-script,” then continues to read from a script. All while sitting in front of a Soviet-inspired, blue brutalist backdrop. That was fun.”
Never forget.
Biden’s Fascist Era
Next: the September 2022 speech in which he stood in front of a black and red backdrop and spewed the craziest amount of cognitive dissonance I have ever heard. As I wrote at the time:
“The staging was just so utterly fascistic, so Nazi-esque, so very V for Vendetta, so Sith Lord that there is no other possible explanation than they are trying to tell us who they are. And as if to spit in our lying eyes, there the old grifter stood in front of his Satanic set design, calling the working class men and women, and the few political representatives they have, fascists.
“They live, not in the light of truth but in the shadow of lies” said the ancient man, his waxy yellow-hued face contrasted with the sinister black and red backdrop and the silhouettes of military men standing guard.
There was no light, and certainly no truth to be found in that moment. None at all.
Forgive my cynicism, but for a family synonymous with serious dysfunction, tragedy, crack addiction and political corruption, this abomination of a President’s pledging his word “as a Biden” rings quite hollow.”
And finally, the Man with Tits
Remember when some tranny got invited to Flag Day and flashed his unsheathed silicone implants on social media — but Biden had already taken a photo with the guy so the White House was actually embarrassed for once?
It was so grotesque that I wrote a parody of My Country Tis of Thee in its honour.
My country tits of thee
Sweet land of sodomy
For thee I swing
Land where the queers all stride
Land of the drag queens pride
Let’s open our mouths wide
Let ball gags in
So… who’s to blame?
Well, the Dems, obvs. And the entire apparatus of state that went after Trump in the shadows and in the boardrooms and in the courts. The dodgy non-profits. Whoever wrote that NPR editor’s note.
But I happen to think that the public intellectuals and respected media figures who strenuously backed Biden even when his failings as a person and a leader were quite apparent, should receive some unique form of public humiliation. I suppose scorn will have to do.
Let’s revisit some of the worst media howlers of the Biden era:
There was Nick Kristof, writing in June 2023 of Hunter Biden’s “tangles” with crack and booze, and saying how “Joe Biden acted honourably.”
There was Andrew Sullivan, was one of the biggest hysterics in the run up to the first Trump presidency and now a demoralised shell of a man, waxing lyrical about sweet Grandpa Joe in 2020:
“It’s hard to see this lifelong Catholic really conniving with neo-Marxist atheists pledging to “dismantle whiteness.” He’s clearly not in favor of allowing crime to run rampant in the streets.”
Then, by 2022 — when we were all stuck with a cadaverous president and his cackling underling — Sullivan was calling Kamala Harris a “Quayle-level embarrassment.”
As I wrote at the time: “you and all of your smug cohorts were so blinded by your classist Trump derangement syndrome you actually thought Biden was reasonable? Aren’t you supposed to be the smart guys?”
But the undisputed King of TDS, the heavyweight champ of emotional reasoning, and the only game in town when it comes to girlish hysteria — is of course, Sam Harris. He who said: “Trump University as a story is worse than anything that could be in the Hunter Biden laptop.”
Waking up with a terrible TDS hangover after Trump’s victory in November, Harris wrote on his Substack that Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan were bad and mean and wrong and nobody likes X anymore and nobody listens to that stupid podcast anyways. So there.
And I’m just talking optics — I haven’t even touched on the really serious stuff: the war in Ukraine, the soaring inflation, the impoverishment of America and the flood of illegals crossing the border. The children trafficked and the young women murdered.
I have spent quite a bit of time these last four years wondering which circle of hell Dante would have placed these pieces of shit. Perhaps some very clever director can come up with a movie or a play about it.
Until then, may they all be relegated to the dustbin of history.
Yes, the living version of The Emperor's New Clothes is what this past four plus years has felt like to me. What continues to confound is that there are still so many liberals whining about Trump and not waking up. They still peddle the same worn out arguments. How can these people, many of whom are our former colleagues, be so blind?
That photo of Biden during the September, 2022 speech would get an A+ from Leni Riefenstahl.
