Democrats' election message to Americans: kill your kids
How can they possibly lose with that one?
As leaders in United Kingdom, where I live, engage in a high-stakes game of musical chairs, across the Atlantic another insane political pantomime plays out, with only weeks to go before the mid-term elections.
A lot of “right”-leaning media, and increasingly the mainstream media as well, are predicting a big loss for the Democrats. Even an amateur political observer such as myself knows that mid-terms are typically hard on whichever party is in the White House. This year is exceptional for several reasons, though. One being that creepy, senile, hustler Joe Biden has taken the office to new lows. And the other reason being that pretty much all of his party has followed suit in an almost comical race to the bottom. A fish does indeed rot from the head.
Is that because they see the writing on the wall and the big red wave that is coming? Maybe, but I don’t think so. I think what we are seeing is the cumulative effect of the intellectual beggaring of the progressive left. Its ideas are so morally and politically bankrupt that all its leading figures are reduced to eating shit sandwiches on live tv.
The only bright spot for the progressive left this year in terms of electorally popular positions, the conventional wisdom says, is the fact that the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs Wade. The country as a whole is far more pro-choice, this line of thinking of goes, than Republicans realise. So the only leg the Dems have to stand on is their promise to safeguard a woman’s right to choose.
Well. Here’s what I think about that, as a lifelong supporter of a woman’s right to choose (as I wrote about in highly personal detail here.)
The right to choose is my key concept here. Because women like me are being asked by the Democratic Party to choose an already aborted Roe over the life and health and happiness of existing children. Children who are growing up, right now, to be sexually groomed, masked, broke, needlessly injected with a dangerous vaccine, and told their character is their skin colour. These are all the results of Democratic positions. (In fairness, some of them are also espoused by the non-populist Republican elite, but the ideological driver of them all is the social justice left.)
And I truly cannot believe the arguments I’m hearing come out of the mouths of leading left-progressive women.
Power-player Stacey Abrams was lauded by progressives this week for answering a question about inflation with this: “Having children is why you’re worried about your price of gas, it’s why you’re concerned about how much food costs. For women, it’s not a reductive issue. You can’t divorce being forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy from the economic realities of having a child.”
Did she just say that the government’s response to reduce high gas prices should be to get its citizens to abort their children?
Also, has no one told Abrams that the majority of women in the US are not living in Dickensian slums with a family of ten in one room and no birth control? Do Democratic leaders not realise that not every woman needs an abortion every single day of the year, and that in fact many women don’t even think it should be legal at all?
Are progressives really so in love with abortion that even the price of gas is directly tied to it? That abortion is more important than, say, the entire nation’s economic survival? Compared to the economic and medical catastrophe that many people now say is imminent, the fact that some states now prohibit women of childbearing age from aborting their pregnancies is a niche issue. There. I’ve said it.
For further proof of this abortion derangement, look at Ana Kasparian, in May of this year, reacting to the leaked draft of the Supreme Court ruling. In a highly emotional rant in which she includes the lack of government funded childcare and paid family leave, she screams: ‘what do you want them to do with their kids, when they have to go to work??”
I mean, really? I get how hard it is to pay for the care of infant when you have go back to work — I did it myself. I get that having multiple children means you have a higher grocery shopping bill. But the Democrat’s answer to no subsidised day care is…end the children’s lives? Are they out of their goddamn minds? What ghoulish teenager came up with this as a messaging strategy?
Maybe, in spite of the words that are coming out of their mouths, that they don’t mean it that way. Maybe they are just expressing themselves badly. But that’s just not good enough. If you cannot string together a morally acceptable and politically effective argument for a woman’s right to chose then you should not be on television talking about it. The left is intellectually bankrupt and it shows.
I must have a very dark sense of humour because these insane arguments make me laugh. How far does the Democratic platform go, exactly? Kasparian is correct, day care is expensive. So is sleepaway camp! What if you can’t afford it? Get rid of the kid!
And on it goes! Prom dresses are expensive — what else is a poor mother to do? Take the kid out!
Middle-aged feminist writer Jessica Valenti has a newsletter to which I subscribe. And every day I get an email, the subject of which reads: “Abortion. Every day.”
Come on. Not even the most put-upon, impoverished, left-wing poverty-fantasy woman needs an abortion every day. Stop it. Grow up. If you are not an angry activist, there are things that simply matter more, even if you are pro-choice. Are women harmed when strict bans on all abortion are implemented? Yes. Are you winning anyone over to your side with your immature dramatising of an issue that is not automatically agreed upon in the general population? No.
In a truly ludicrous campaign ad, California Congressman Eric Swallwell, the honey-pot target of a Chinese spy, imagines a future in which a sweet mom called Mary Anderson is dragged away in handcuffs from her loving family (including a cute baby) for having had an abortion. It’s just so adolescent. The entire Democratic Party seems to be in the hands of a bunch of particularly self-confident teens who are trying to be edgy. It’s a huge turn-off for many adults who once supported them.
What’s not funny in the slightest is the continued creep-fest that is trans-ing kids and the sexually explicit reading materials in turning up school libraries. That, I don’t find funny at all. And even though I was a vocal pro-choice voter in the past, this craziness now matters more to me.
It’s really as simple as this: The progressive left and its political representatives, the Democratic Party, are trying to claim that books like the one illustrating a teen performing fellatio on another teen wearing a strap-on dick are totally fine, and wanting them removed from a school library is the same as banning To Kill A Mockingbird. I’ve read To Kill A Mockingbird, I don’t recall any blow jobs in it. I’ve seen the books minors have access to in schools now. Anyone defending them is defending the sexualising of kids.
This is the choice that the Democrats are trying to force women into making. And it’s a no-brainer for me.
It's insane everywhere. Here in Canada, a slew of civic elections are being influenced (on Twitter) by U.S. Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream in concert with a Canadian government-funded hate group to slander local school-board candidates who are running against gender ideology K-12 (including the school-library books you refer to).
I'm loving Russell Brand on UK politics on YouTube. His coverage of the latest PM's resignation is hilarious.
It has been said that we as a nation are not giving God the cold shoulder, we are giving him the finger. There will be a wrath to come from God against those who have chosen to persist in rebellion, but what we are seeing now are the natural consequences of this rebellion against God becoming ever more obvious to anybody with any discernment.
